We even once had a member who said McGrath wasn't in Australia's top ten pacers.

Thankfully that idiot stopped coming back after finally showing his true colours to enough people to become a total pariah. Hopefully he doesn't do something really annoying like create another account in a sad attempt to reset his reputation and then pretend he can't stand the place despite his obvious inability to actually stay away.
I don’t know why HB keeps doing that either

Seriously. The snarkiness is abhorrent here lately. I don’t think Lillee was better than McGrath, but it’s not that outlandish to hold that opinion, at all.
Nah Lillee’s just a meme here rn, its obviously not crazy at all. Meme status probably won’t reach perma-Jadeja levels hopefully.

Blame PEWS for the Lillee hate.

At the end of the day, these are all cricket opinions. No one out here should be subjected to some kind of Spanish Inquisition...

I've honestly started to grow tired of the "all rounder" label.

Wally is such a great cricketer and brings so much to a team, but because to some he falls short of the holy grail of the all rounder tag, it's diminished to some extent. Brilliant batsman, supreme slip and more than useful quick bowler.
And even as a specialists alone, there seems to be diminishing appreciation.

I think Imran's position in all time xi is in doubt only if you want to go with four frontline bowlers plus sobers as the fifth option (and the no.6 batsman). even in that case, he is on par with Marshall, Hadlee, McGrath, Ambrose and Steyn to be the primary fast bowler; marginally ahead of other great options that complete the top 10 pacemen: Truman, Lillee, Barnes and Akram. When you add his batting to the equation, his selection is almost a no brainer.

If your team is from the post Sobers era, or if Sobers is playing as the third middle order bat and the six bowler, then the team sheet should start with Imran's name. Anyways, Imran in an ATG XI is a shoo-in by all standards.

I didn’t say he was an allrounder and I’ve never said that he was. My objection was to him placing Chappell and Richards in that middle order batsman bracket but not Hammond.

I personally wouldn't include quite everyone listed, but agree with the sentiment.

To me it's pretty simple, if Imran is a lock in your all time XI, then yes... He's easily a lock. If he's not, it's not that simple and more of a top 10.
But everyone has their own criteria.

Wasn't referencing you, and knew from the perspective you were speaking.

I was making a separate point.
