There is going to be a disconnect amongst the younger gen trying to getting into test cricket if their current heroes are getting destroyed by players who retired long ago , try making some current era comparisons aswell .

Waqar for the same reason I'd rank Jimmy Anderson over Andy Roberts. Waqar has a much greater body of work and at his peak was the best fast bowler I'd ever seen. Period!!!

Yeah but Roberts was qualitatively better in some respects than Anderson (big marquee hauls away from home). Anderson at his best can't do what Roberts at his best can so it's a body of work vs higher ceiling dichotomy. Whereas in this case Waqar had a better peak on top of a greater body of work. 19 fivers in his first 30 something tests to Bumrah's 8. Bumrah is much better suited to bowling in Australia with his shorter length and ability to extract bounce but that's the only thing in his favour.

its dumb to claim that younger people will have a disconnect trying to get into test cricket if their current heroes get destroyed by past legends of the game which was obviously what i meant as dumb and not the current era comparisons which you can easily make threads to start instead of begging someone else to do on your behalf but context clearly eludes you because you are incapable of not reacting without blowing up and then projecting your own feelings on others

One just needs to look at the match shared by James in the other thread to see why Waqar is better.

And Waqar is one of those legendary players who have more fame on peak performances than longevity. So, this comparison doesn't make sense.

Nobody was begging , you're just an arrogant keyboard prick wanting to start fights for no reason.
