With Pucovski back playing club cricket does he walk back onto the Vic side? I know Travis Dean faded away last season but top 6 looks pretty settled unless they move Sutherland and Harper to 7-8?

1. Harris
2. Chandrasinghe
3. Kelleway
4. Handscomb
5. Short
6. Sutherland
7. Harper +

Pucovski starts over Kellaway, every day.

No. You can't just constantly be getting concussed and taking mental health breaks every year and expect to walk back into a side. He shouldn't even be considered unless they have very good reason to think his issues are behind him

I love Chandrasinghe and his anti-bazball style but it's him they'll drop if anyone. He's averaging 23 and if Pucovski wants to push for an Australian spot soon the obvious spot is replacing Warner.

I think TBJ is mostly right though in that they won't start the season with him; they'll make him prove his fitness/mental health in grade cricket for a few weeks first.

Hasn't he done that by playing 10 weeks of grade in England?

Kellaway is in the Australia A side so doubt he'll lose his Vic spot
He's playing for AUS-A on potential. EWS is right though, chadrasinghe gets dropped first. Dind't realise how much is average had dropped, haden't been paying too much attention to him bar the early century and knock in the shield final.

Probably because he bats so long without making any runs. Hard for the average to be up when it's based on runs, not balls faced, and you aren't making any.

Chandrasinghe started well but then immediately nose dived into being a detriment to the team. Vic aren't winning anything, or getting any of the "first 100 over points" which are vital in the shield with him around

I honestly don't know who to choose between him and Pucovski because they both repulse me in very different ways. Would rather leave them both out and play with 10

Chandrasinghe was bloody awful last season. His batting was selfish and eventually detrimental to himself as well as the team. I don’t know if he’s limited or just overly cautious. Either way doesn’t deserve selection.

Jamie Overton seems like a bit of a random pick by the Strikers in the BBL draft.

But the Heat have surpassed them - I haven't even heard of Paul Walter.

Edit: And the Hurricanes have picked Corey Anderson!

This one is a pretty GASian type player tbf.
Fair call, Jamie is definitely the considerably more interesting Overton. Not too sure how he's been travelling injury wise, but he sure can get then through when he's going well

If signing him is actually good strategy for the Strikers is another question entirely, but I would certainly rather watch him than his twin brother all day everyday
