Brevis hehewho will be sa's no.7 in the world cup? it think its currently marco jansen, although he is more of a no.8. maharaj is also a no.8
george linde can bat no.7, but he will not get picked.
Solid squads.Brevis and Ferreira get called up, as does Matthew Breetzke.
Quite like these picks, to be honest.

Bavuma in the t20 squad is a waste of a spot, and still think B swaenpool should be in these squads. Big fan outside of those gripes. Nice to see ferreria and brevis getting a look in.Brevis and Ferreira get called up, as does Matthew Breetzke.

Yes having a deep batting line up while still having decent bowling options is key to success ..Not that happy with the squads , far too rigid ..
We need to try out more all rounders. One of the reasons why we were in danger of not qualifying outright for the latest WC was because our balance was horrible ..
We'd have batting that lasted till No.8 and 5 bowling options .. Needed to see more all rounders
They're not in the T20 squad, just the ODI one.So maybe with the current squads the XI for T20 may look like :
1.QDK (WK)
2.Hendricks
3.Van Der Dussen
4.Markram (C)
5.Miller
6.Klaasen
7.Jansen
8.Magala
9.Coetzee
10.Ngidi
11.Shamsi
Should come to cape town we need him.I bet SA are a bit annoyed that franchise teams don't seem very interested in Brevis's bowling.
CSA CEO is an A-Grade ****.I always dont like seeing this, but its the times I guess...
Proteas to send below-strength Test team to NZ as SA20 takes preference | Sport
South Africa will send an understrength team to New Zealand for two World Test Championship matches in February, following the release on Tuesday of the fixtures for its domestic SA20 franchise competition.www.news24.com
So if this is the case what would a team like this look like , on batting we have good depth and a few players that is almost test specialists however bowling should be very interesting .I always dont like seeing this, but its the times I guess...

Marius posted this earlier, but here's Neil Manthorp's speculation around the squad. So if this is the case what would a team like this look like , on batting we have good depth and a few players that is almost test specialists however bowling should be very interesting .
That really doesn't look too bad.Possible Squad: Dean Elgar (captain), Tony de Zorzi, Keegan Petersen, Stiaan van Zyl, Zubayr Hamza, Khaya Zondo, Raynard van Tonder, Sinethemba Qeshile (wk), Rivaldo Moonsamy (wk), Lutho Sipamla, Glenton Stuurman, Duanne Olivier, Beyers Swanepoel, Sean Whitehead, Kwena Maphaka,
Other possibilities:
Rudi Second, Ziyaad Abrahams, Eldred Hawken, Thomas Kaber, Joshua Richards, Dominic Hendricks, Jason Smith, Tsepo Ndwandwa.
Could they be tempted?
Dane Paterson, Kyle Abbott, Leus du Plooy, David Bedingham, Hashim Amla…
It shows the depth we still have available in SA... but skill development is just going to die a quick death if CSA carry on with this attitude. That really doesn't look too bad.
Some really good names and there is more or less depending on the draft, might be a good think of Bavuma is released and not picked up. Need to wait and see.So if this is the case what would a team like this look like , on batting we have good depth and a few players that is almost test specialists however bowling should be very interesting .
