Yep fully agree.

I like the idea of having a T20 World Cup as a novelty but the teams should basically be picked from performances in franchise cricket IMO. Bilateral T20Is are the lowest form of cricket.
i see them as equivalent to international friendlies in football. They can be enjoyable to watch but you have to really try to care

Yeah, and when there are so many complaints about too much cricket and a crowded calendar they really stand out to me as being the obvious thing to cut back on or scrap entirely.

I will slightly walk back my position and mention that I think they're fine for associate nations. The players at that level often don't have franchise cricket to play anyway - if anything a lot of associate players suffer from not enough cricket.
