Bazball final verdict

If England beat Australia or India than Bazball is a Success. because unlike pom fans I base Bazball on Results not style of play.

So far Bazball hasn't been able to beat Australia or India at home in favourable conditions.

Only thing Bazball is beat weaker teams like New Zealand and Pakistan ect...

Bazball is entertaining yes I wish Australia played this way however if can't even win ashes series Bazball can't be called Success.

Usless make big deal about syle of play beating average teams, and putting fear into teams 😂.

Even Indian fans don't go hysterical with home draws like that (not had any in a long time), you must keep your expectations higher.
Was he or was he not at first change by the end of the series?

I was ignoring your typo - England did beat India.
It was tied series 2-2 England didn't beat India even at home.

Beating Australia or India means winning the series not just Winning a test match to tie the series.

Have higher standards at home poms.

I would also argue that only Headingley had more typical English conditions for the series just gone. The first two were roady, Old Trafford is a hard and relatively quick surface not unlike quite a few Aussie pitches. Oval had poor weather on 1st, 4th and 5th days but actually didn't offer a lot for either side with the new ball in hand although actually that was a factor across the series.

Yeah, interesting stat that Crawley and Warner had more 20 plus scores than anyone else. It showed that starting against the new ball was arguably the best time to bat.

ngl i don't even necessarily disagree with the notion that you guys played the cumster really well but when haze and starc play that's where he always bowls let's be clear

be like saying root hiding down at four rather than three is comprehensive proof that bazball failed against cummins or something lol

Yes, it does seem that way. They always say that the new ball is probably the best time to bat in Asia, because it comes onto the bat on otherwise slow decks, but this was a real turnaround compared with conventional wisdom.

And literally the complete opposite to what happened in 2022.

No no it was traditional English conditions that Enlgand should have easily won in (when that suits the argument) and also it was made to order flat pitches that their hack batsmen needed to be successful on (when that suits the argument)

The rank turners give England a chance too (as Australia showed). If there's a ball with your name on it sooner or later, may as well try and smash a few whilst you can.
Sure but you have to be careful or you'll experience the full glory of the sweepathon.
