The main similarity between the two is that Barry Richards is South African, and one day Crawley's place in the team will probably be taken by someone who was born there.

Barry Richards may have been great but 4 tests is not a fair sample. He is not eligible for any such conversation wrt x or y. He didn't play enough international cricket. Sad but it is the reality.
