Ball gate scandal

Gob

International Coach
Don't think Australia can complain about luck after OT but the whole thing genuinely changed the out put of the game

Also I hear somewhere that the replacement ball was from a batch couple of seasons ago when the dukes were decking around. I recall several ball changes in the series so are those changes also from older batches?

The balls have been changed so ridiculously often over the last two summers for both sides that a bodge was bound to happen sooner or later.

Why are they changing the balls so much more than they used to? If the balls aren't good enough to last 80 overs on the regular they should bin the manufacturer. Something's clearly changed.

But there was a difference this year. In 2022, all the wickets were taken by new balls before the middle orders plundered runs. Root, Bairstow, Mitchell, Blundell, Pant, Jadeja etc all came in when the ball was old. This year the new ball did very little but started to offer a lot more after about 20 overs.

Australians are already over this however I agree with everything Ponting and Khawaja Said.

Umpires need to be step down maybe and also change of ball review.

Without a doubt Asterisk win by England only won because of the ball change and rain.

Of course England deserved to tie the series but not in Tainted way they did.

Strokes should have turned the ball down he and Umpires broke the spirit of the game unfortunately.

It shows England don't really believe in spirit of the game. :whistling

But not this series
According to you this was done before it started......4-0, there was a fork stuck in this months ago iirc.

So based on this insight Eng winning 2 tests was above expectations and Broad played a huge hand in that.

When do you get back in the country mate? A Dan's voucher is waiting your return.......im hoping you get severely drunk on your Tequila and disgrace yourself in some manner (perhaps that nudie run you still owe?)

Been happening a bit with the kookaburra out here too. Seems to be more of it than previously

For what reason are the quality if balls so **** of late? I mean the kookaburra is questionable at the best of times but it does seem that for a couple of years they and the dukes have both had a lot of issues? Any theories?
