It's been a brilliant series.

Every test except OT went down to the wire, with the result in doubt deep into the final session of the match.

Both teams will look back and think they could maybe should have won but equally both could easily have lost the series.

Hugely enjoyable and a shame its all over.

Warner, Khawaja, Smith, Starc, Cummins, Hazlewood and Lyon you can add have been around for almost a decade now. Marnus and Cummins have been playing for about five years or more what do they have to show? Two near misses in India, last Ashes in England, SA 2018 and this one. For a collection of such fine cricketers, they stuff **** up pretty regularly

They miss that Steve Waugh merciless type character, obviously sandpaper gate rewrote the Aussie script a bit and brought Warner and Co. down a peg or three.

But they wouldn't have been behind in the first place if not for ridiculous captaincy. So it just evened out as the series scoreline suggests.

If Stokes wasn't captain, this team wouldn't even be competing against Cummins' side in the first place and would have lost this series well before the final test.
