Bring back the T20I's, no enthusiasm for odi World Cup now

I think there is a place in world cricket to scrap the long international series and do tournaments. Test cricket can have it's tours and evolve into a specialists game. T20 and ODI need tournament series. 4 countries or more in a short time frame, this will revitalize the genre aswell as open up time in the calendar. Make it more exciting and give it value in the same time allow big t20 tournaments to take place. With this you can have the same thing as tests with all this over a period of time ending in the best taking each other on. This allows for smaller nations to be included and the sport to grow. World cup is a problem and should become a world series like in tests.

Speak for yourself. T20Is should be scrapped IMO. Leave T20s for the franchise jollies and local tournaments have OD and Test cricket for the internationals.
T20 is making the game universal, it is the future of the game. If there isn't these discussions how to make all formats relevant t20 will kill of the other formats just due to the fact it has a wider audience.

I enjoy T20. Taking the kids to the Super Smash and go with the mates to the Test. But there's too much of it and it'll be saturation with all these poxy USA and Saudi or whatever leagues. It makes International T20s largely pointless at the top table. European League? Sure. Maybe even a world cup (the never ending parade of franchise leagues will mean the top players won't need massive lead ins anyway). But the bilateral T20 International series are just utterly pointless.

I can’t help feeling that some of the smaller t20 leagues won’t last long financially. Everything looks small fry compared to the megalithic IPL. I enjoy the blast on Friday nights but even that competition lasts too long.

Iam telling this for the sake of cricket, to be it more competitive compared to football, rugby. People in Australia says, to watch grass grows is less boring than watching cricket. T20 made cricket alive again

Can't wait for Asia Cup, hopefully followed by some random triangular series regardless of who plays it and then the WC. I'm feeling festive. ODI season is approaching.

Odis is a dying out format not sure how they can revive it and make it more fun again. But the ODI World Cup still a better tournament and trophy to win than the t20 World Cup. I think the scheduling for odis is a mess these days and a lot of series that just feel meaningless. Feels like a lot of the time teams won’t play their strongest team and just blood in new guys and give chances to others while a lot the better players rest in between. A good example is the India vs Windies odi series now.

I remember those tri series in the 2000s in Australian summers you’d have like India, Sri Lanka loading up their teams with the best players and everyone went hard out for the win and to make it to the final. Now people only care about the format 5 months before the World Cup

ODI is favourite form of cricket I absolutely love it.

Tests can be to long and boring
T20 can be to short

ODI is perfect balance of pure cricket and Entertainment.

In fact I love the 3 formats of cricket their all special in their own way.

Test cricket is most iconic and original form of cricket with rich in history.

T20 is universal the most popular form of cricket and growing game the most across the world Basically most Entertaining/Enjoyable.

ODI has perfect balance of Cricket and Also rich in history with many Classic Tournament's and matches.

true fans of cricket should love every format of cricket their all add value to the game.

Test cricket is drying format as well only hanging on because of the big 3..

Apart form Ashes Test series are non events.

ODI and T20 far more Entertaining and popular compared to tests. watching teams go at 3 runs per over in tests compared to 6-7 per over in white ball Cricket.

I rather watch T20/ODI than test match any day of the week even with England.

The harsh reality is people only care about World Cups in ODI nowadays.

Only 10k Fans showed up for final one day International between Australia and England last year.

Non ODI World Cups without a doubt on the Decline at least in Australia.

The T20 women's final in Australia had 86,174.

T20s are good if there is a game on

I.e a team chasing 190 or a team at 30/2 trying to get 150 with the team that batted first trying everything to restrict the opponents

T20 cricket is best form of cricket currently brings in the most fans including Casuals and is most Entertaining.

T20 is Growning Cricket the most out of the 3 forms.

ODI has over 50 years of Rich history with classic Tournaments and matches world Cups ect. Shouldn't be disrespected or Taken down in value just because going Though bad patch.

ODI is great format and we should keep it long as we can.

Yep fully agree.

I like the idea of having a T20 World Cup as a novelty but the teams should basically be picked from performances in franchise cricket IMO. Bilateral T20Is are the lowest form of cricket.
