So what do people think now is a par score in terms of conditions and teams? In my mind par is about 320 and 350 England would definitely be the happier side. Under 300 Aus happy imo.
It's a weird wicket in that you get great value for shots but it's also quite bowler-friendly especially if the ball is moving around. Par maybe 280-300?

We need more doomsday predictions from morgie
Will come if these two bat for another 2-3 overs

****en he’ll
Frustrating. Starc got the message about not bowling short to Wood, and I think Marsh mostly did too (bowled a heap of straight crap, though) but Cummins basically seems intent to give him stuff that he can successfully throw the kitchen sink at.

Will be interesting to see how they handle Todd Murphy. He does well and after Tea it should be Murphy/Starc opening.

Got his speed right there, was obviously worried bowling more slowly against the big hitters early on.

Aus session for sure and they are in command at the moment I think. We need 50+ more and to take a few poles this PM.

Gotta feel the bowlers they run up give it their all then you got poor tactics and bowling changes that don’t support them and dropped catches

Still a fair few frustrations coming through but it does seem the tactics has gone from like a -2/10 to at least a 5/10 this innings. Bowling has generally been quite a bit better too.

It looked like it was going to get ugly in the first part of that session so we did well to cause a mini-collapse. This feels like it could be a really frustrating partnership though. Will be interesting to see how England bowl on this.

I don't think they bowled awfully at these two tbh. Honestly they could bowl a few more short to Woakes but no surprise they're reluctant to go there again.

It doesn't look that hard to bat. There's some movement and bounce but nothing outrageous - none of the wickets have really been to magic balls or anything like that.

If conditions stay the same and assuming we can get an hour at least tonight, then there's no excuses for Jimmy. It's almost the perfect set up for him....

Nah Murphy only gets 1 over per hour. Will be all pace again prob

True, but at the same time, plenty have beaten the bat or taken edges. To be honest, looks a cracking wicket with a little something for everyone. Whether it gets easier to bat on remains to be seen.
