Of course someone may dredge up all my ranting a few pages back. And maybe at the top of this page...

Anderson and Haze have been quite poor this series. Was weird how Anderson bowled decently last game and got nothing while Haze got one of the worst ever 5-fers tho.

Cummins is up there with Garner as re best first change bowler of all time. Neither is-was any slouch with the new ball either, but both crazy good bowling first change
Garner was actually better opening than first change, Holding vice versa.

I won't ever criticise Root for that shot tbh, he scores a stupid amount of runs with it so the risk/reward is actually in his favour. Maybe early on in innings you could argue he shouldn't play it but it's a strength of his game.

Yeah it's absolutely core to his game but Hazlewood and Cummins have got him out - usually in Aus - playing it a hell of a lot

That shot is the reason he's never got a ton in Australia.

Yeah, perhaps he should adjust against them particularly Cummins recently. Think Green got him a few times doing it as well from memory

Not a great shot for his second last ever Ashes innings in England.

I agree with this in England but it’s a large part of the reason he’s never made a test ton in australia. The extra pace and bounce makes it harder to control
