Australia has to be happy Anderson is playing as Tongue and Wood could have been interesting

My prediction based on ~vibes and feels

England will be playing their free spirit brand of cricket but dialled up a notch. If Australia break it early England won’t show resistance because they’ve mentally wallowed in their misery over the last week and won’t have the stomach for it. But if they get off to a flier again then Aus are ****ed.

3-1 imo

Yeah I feel like we are due a 1 session batting collapse from one side or the other. Or both. Nearly every series has at least one.

I think England's 4 strong seam attack is making a difference. Anderson may not be taking wickets, but he's not going for runs either and provides a threat. The Aussie batters don't get a break against them. Judged by OT, the Aussie quicks look broken and there's just no threat outside those 3.

If the weather allows, a similar game to OT could ensue.

Farewell.
Anderson says he still has the desire to play and won't be retiring. Stokes is talking up Anderson and made it clear he is being picked on quality despite form. He made a comparison with Joe Root saying you wouldn't drop him if he hit a patch of poor form.

I would've thought he could've been dropped for Tongue at the Oval but you can understand why England have maintained belief in him. Also it seems the rain at OT persuaded England's selectors the bowlers are fresh enough despite the short time between tests.

I've heard Starc is available for Australia and I'd have him over Haze to get Abbott into the side. Although I think the only change will be Murphy for Green.

Chappell was a great batsman.

But his prowess as a judge of cricketing talent brought us such luminaries as Michael Beer, Xavier Dougherty and Doug the Rug. I can understand why the Indians basically ran him out of the place.
He picked a lot of guys from basically out of nowhere when he was a test selector in the mid-late 80s who ended up being gun players, but he seems to have lost the knack a long time ago.

Look, Anderson's a genius, but patently isnt the bowler he was a couple of years ago. Lost that zip
Do I think his performance will significantly detoriate in the next year or so? Probably not
Does that still mean there aren't any better options to bring into the XI? No

I don't think a near 41 year-old batsman going through a dip in form would be given the benefit of the doubt.

Moody calls for Murphy to replace Green for final Ashes Test

"Murphy is an exciting young bowler. He is not Nathan Lyon, but Nathan Lyon is not Shane Warne either"

Good Luck Murphy

I read that Warner doesn’t thinks he has seen England play Bazball

was he too far away on the boundary last week when Australia were going at over 6s and had 9 on the boundary ?

I know he is a wind up merchant but I didn’t realise he was pig ignorant
