Pretty good but maybe the Bazball angle below the all rounders should focus on bowlers taking wickets rapidly instead of batting? It’s not like they dump Anderson and Broad cos they can’t score at a 100+ SR

Steyn would be the bowling equivalent of Bazball - not a care for the ER, going for the wicket.

Abdul Qadir would be a good BazBall option. He only knew how to attack. Can hit with the bat too.

I rate Amla very highly... he's a much better batsman than his final average would make it seem. During his peak, pitch conditions didn't matter, he'd just find a way to get scores. Really good against all kinds of bowling, could blockathon when needed, could shift gears up when needed, was the complete package as a batsman. Probably could've retired earlier to protect his numbers but that doesn't affect my thoughts on him much.

He's the batsman I think of from the last generation who was really close to an ATG despite not having an ATG average.

Was averaging 50 fifteen tests before his retirement with a thirteen-year career and robust cross-conditions record at no3. Unfortunately his decline coinciding with a bowling era really hurt his finish. The role conditions play in longevity is generally under-estimated.

Amla can play a fast dominating knock like Sehwag and he can also play a slow gritty knock when the ball is moving, unlike Sehwag.
