Think a bit hinges on his 2nd innings, and the result of this test, if Aus win and Ashes are secured, he gets his 'swansong' at the Oval. If Aus Lose, and warner shoots anything less than birdie in the 2nd dig, I think he'll be dropped.

Reckon even if he gets a duck he'll play the 5th test. Selectors think very differently than our jury.

Part of that is because we have a heap of bats full stop. It really is such an unusual lineup for an Aus team

EDIT: But yes it does change the calculus for what constitutes a good morning session a lot. Carey and Green have done little with the bat but if they're coming in at 5 down, 6 down at bowlers who have already worked real hard to get those wickets then who knows
