Test career chain draft II

Correct. If people want to redo from that point then that can be done; or if they don't, just ignored.

Collin Croft(WI) feb 18 1977 - Jan 30 1987
Means, btw, that this pick was:
  • with incorrect dates;
  • outside the required timeframe;
  • too early;
  • and already picked

Mushfiqur Rahim (wk)

Excellent team, love that I have 2 proper spin bowlers and 4 proper fast bowlers in the side plus the extremely useful part timers. Decent batting depth and the tall fast bowlers would add an extra dimension in most conditions.

Surely the re pick should come from the same time as the mispick?
Thanks for bringing this up. Not too sure honestly – what you say would certainly be the case if this were in rounds 1–10. I think FP is ok to pick Bond.

If, amidst the chaos, you make an incorrect pick due to someone butting in ahead of you, you must make a new pick, or even make the same pick if it is now eligible, in a subsequent post.
Interpreting my own rules, I think the struck-out portion is just to clarify the potential situation rather than it being a rule itself. FP could well have not picked Croft at all and still be able to pick Bond (at least given we're not bothering to allow weeman to redo Clarke, etc.). Bond stands.

I'd originally planned on hopefully one of Bond, Taylor, or Cowie (no national bias there!!!) depending on whether the selections went forwards or backwards in time from Edrich, and had checked through the search tool that all were available. My Croft pick was just spur of the moment opportunitism and made without the search tool.

Also my Croft pick didn't affect anything orderwise as Weeman could still pick Sylvester Clarke from Zaheer Abbas regardless of the Croft selection.

So disqualify me then completely, it's a forum game and I made a mistake. The way this is being dealt with is leaving me with a sour taste for my first ever draft

My comments are tongue in cheek. I've made mistakes in previous drafts and while they can be annoying no one has complained. You've done a good job in selecting a competitive team. I hope an apology from me might sweeten any sour taste.
