Perhaps, Croady, it would be worthwhile familiarising youself with what and how the person you are responding to normally posts before starting arguments with him.
I want to start argument in an empty room for how we chucked away golden opportunities to win these tests. I was very annoyed at our inability to finish off tail at Edgbaston, however was irate almost apoplectic at the brainless batting demonstrated at 188-1 in first innings at Lord's

Already accepted Ashes has gone because there is a reason no one has come back from 2-0 down since 1937. That's because it's literally impossible for any side to do.

Shame others didn't back up him and Duckett in that chase. Mind you Ben D proper chucked away at least one century in this test

So much said on the thread, this may be a repeat but Mankads vs yesterday:

FWIW the ball was in play, clearly it was an pre-mediatated idea if not a plan, as the underarm was almost immediate with the take and Bairstow had not left the crease after the release of the underarm. Bairstow couldn't be bothered to look backwards for a second.

So much hypocrisy.

Question for England should be simply Bairstow or Foakes? But Bazball would never drop Bairstow now, as it would look like they disown him.

Yeah and how would the Aussies cope with their bowling attack decimated of Cummins and Starc which is the equivalent of Wood & Archer for us. That's not forgetting the fact we have other options unable to stay fit either
Ahh yes, archer with his average of 30 in test cricket and wood, who averages 40 in england, are your cummins...... Maybe if England had managed archer's like CA managed Cummins and not bowled him into the ground he would be fit enough to play the occasional test.

Carey saying no the mankad is and then doing that is a bit hypocritical, NGL. Cummins getting better character development than most Hollywood leads with his "No mankads - in the right situation - running out bairstow is ok" arc though.

It’s a strange post anyway because clearly our Cummins is Anderson and for whatever reason he’s not firing and here we are.

Yeah but wouldn't compare those two due to both the age and pace difference. Maybe a more apt comparison in that case is Tongue who is similar pace to Cummins

I am absolutely fuming at how badly managed Archer has been since that Ashes series
