bleurgh, don't go out of your crease it doesn't happen, first thing you're taught in cricket, so bored of this argument, mankading et cetera. all the same answer.

Do think it is something English supporters generally care about more than others, so not sure of the hypocrisy arguments, but we do live in a fantasy world of old-fashioned values and decency, whilst not really having any historical or current examples to really believe that's what this country is actually about.

not going to vote in the poll as no idea what it means.

Was so disappointed when Dhoni called back Ian Bell all those summers ago. And when Ashwin was roasted for the Butler runout in India. Both were legit cricketing dismissals.
If you can't stay inside the crease until the ball is dead then it is fair to run you out. You can be English or Aussie or Indian. The rules are the same.
Grinning at the fact that Bairstow will think twice before putting on the "I am a busy batsman and I own the pitch" act again with that body language forgetting the very basics of cricket.
Watching the dismissal in loop. So satisfying, really.
As the great man would say "Cricket is the winner here"
You can't say with much confidence the ball wasn't dead though. That always is a bit of a grey area, and in this instance it was the end of the over, so I honestly have a lot of sympathy for Bairstow "wandering out" of his crease.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
I remember a while ago, when I vaguely followed Rugby League (my dads fav sport) that there was a crackdown on players not playing the ball properly. Essentially they'd roll the ball a bit after a tackle and not actually play the ball backwards with their foot. Refs cracked down and eventually players started playing the ball properly again so as not to avoid a penalty.

Bairstow was being lazy. He wasn't following what is proper rule of play (waiting for an accepted dead ball) and just did his own thing. I can get it would suck that if you're the one who is caught out by something seemingly everyone does, but it doesn't mean you get a free pass. And considering he tried the same thing in the same test, it's entirely on him IMO, no sympathy.

If stokes thinks he would have taken the decision back if he were in the opposition’s situation. Then where was this selfless spirit of the game, when his bat knocked the ball to the boundary in the final? Didnt see him take the decision to revert that

Just seen the footage.

Out, not even up for debate. Carey hadn't even completed his gather by the time Bairstow was wandering down the wicket, so I have no sympathy with him nor England (said as an England fan).

For the 47th time HE ASKED THE UMPIRES NOT TO ADD THE RUNS. The dumbest attempt at an aha that there is, this

for the 1st time he never asked the umpires to not add the runs it was made up **** by Anderson to paint his teammate in good light and somehow it keeps being repeated by Poms everytime despite being incorrect

here is the umpire and Stokes both denying it
