*Official* Second Test (Lord's, London) 28 June–2 July

very much this

Carey saw him walking out every ball before and on the last ball he threw it asap after he got it. keepers have randomly tossed the ball on to the stumps before and either missed for overthrow runs or it hit the stumps and they still ran. it happens more commonly in lower level cricket and doesn’t happen at higher levels because most batsmen aren’t dumb ****s like Bairstow. either the people opposing it have never player cricket or didn’t watch the dismissal properly

one thing for sure this England team has learned the arts of great football managers to deflect the heat after a loss by blaming other things and saying they provided entertainment
One thing you are not and that is subtle

all in double footed everytime

Todd Murphy

they may also go with full pace if the pitch is too green
Thank you. I’ll have to read up on him. Australia are usually on a pay to view channel that I haven’t got so a few of this current squad are only names to me as I’ve not seen them play

I see some Aussies here are defending it. I guess I’d be doing the same if the roles were reversed, but deep down I’d know that it’s the wrong way to play the game.
I’m an England fan and it didn’t and doesn’t bother me at all

England lost because of first innings stupidity and second innings incompetence on the first four wickets

if they could have scored 20 each this conversation would be irrelevant

he was good against us and it was his debut tour, there are some minor differences for sure but if you wanted a Lyon replacement then can’t go wrong with him

.

lol trying to blame Smith and Warner somehow. This isn’t backyard cricket. This is test cricket at the highest level and you’re kidding yourself if you think any of the great captains would call that back.
Not trying to kid anyone, I’m just offering my opinion, fwiw, on what I think should’ve happened. The fact it is Test cricket at the highest level and not backyard cricket is the exact reason the appeal should’ve been retracted. I’m not blaming Warner and Smith, I’m suggesting they probably wouldn’t be the finest allies to have when a spirit of cricket dilemma rears its head.

He is probably closer to Swann than Lyon

Bowling style I mean. Not the actual quality. Not that he isn't quality he is very young

i also saw some claiming that Stokes would have withdrawn his appeal and that he said so after the match. if so why did he not withdraw the appeal last year when they duped de Grandhomme? Cummins is an equal hypocrite of course for what he said about the mankad and then defending this

Wasting your time with that poster. Hates England with a passion

will not accept any reasonable conversation

Someone who is playing at that level should know not to saunter down the pitch when the ball isn't dead

And if that ball some how missed the stumps and ran away to deep, do you think they won't go for a run?

Putting the Bairstow situation to one side, it’s hard to argue that Australia didn’t deserve the win, they were the dominant side over the course of the five days and we nearly got over the line thanks to one man’s brilliance which would have brushed over our deficiencies in some fairly obvious areas.

Cheers. Looking forward to seeing him play

I’m sick of the bouncer war and nine boundary riders

it wins games but it’s mind numbing to watch

Spot on

the first four wickets for 45 lost the game

and it’s absolutely beyond doubt that Crawley has some incriminating photographs of the top people as his form and ability is not worthy of another cap
