That would've been an ugly dismissal in an ODI.

Just sums up what I think is one of the main problems with England this series; they have no game sense. They're going great with the bat, the opposition's main spinner is injured and they just lost their heads in the last 10 minutes trying to hit every short ball fir six.

Needed to get him out so that the actual good players can come in and bat imo.

Not terrible at all. In that 2019 Ashes, 1st test, 133 & 11. Overall in the series, 3rd highest scorer with 390 runs.
In 2021 v NZ 238 runs @ 59.50.
Things all went pear-shaped for him in the 2021 Ashes.
