Easy as that. Well batted Middlesex, but I reckon Surrey thought they'd won it after 15 overs. Didn't make the most of the last 5, and bowled abysmally. tbh if you're not good enough to defend 252, you're just not good enough, period.

They were lucky .... 24 needed off the last 4 balls 6 6 followed by a wide, then a dot which was not given as a wide, but on the replay clearly should have been then 6 off the last ball. Wiese not happy second wide was not given

Would Middlesex have been happy to swap 10 on the trot to be able to chase down 252 to win the 11th? Highest worldwide chase down by a bunch of losers?

Yes, Surrey needed taking down a peg (much as I love them). Doesn't pay to rest on your laurels.

Any idea why Roy hasn't played all season? Last I heard he did something warming up for the first game, but there was never any indication that it would keep him out this long.
He's probably resting up in preparation for playing in the MLC next month.
