This tour is not about the bowlers... give Sipamla, Coetzee time in SL. Give Swanepoel and Maphaka experience and see what they made of, but not going to be making the first team quite yet. What this tour is really about, is the batting. Who of these batsmen stand up and impress such that they will be selected for the current poor SA batting line-up.

Spinners also need to have experience in Asian conditions where they are the main threat from Day 1 , considering that Muthusamy bats in the top 7 it should not have been a big ask to include another spinner in the side while still rotating the seamers in the matches . We had Tony De Zorzi and Tristan Stubbs bowling their part time spin today which is an indictment on the selection policy , you wouldn't need to be bowling them if it was the right call to play 4 fast bowlers , the home side has 4 spinners playing this match so no doubt our batting unit will get plenty of practice against spin .
