If everyone plays Bazball , it will ultimately see test cricket reduced to 4 day cricket as boards will argue with the faster run rates theres no need for 5 days , an Australian win might kick that can further down the road..."Might"

plumping for the #supremeconfidence that #bazball entails here. With luminaries such as #crawley, #thirtysixyearoldmaninabeardaslongashisretirement, and #harrybrookdestroyerofworlds it's hardly even a contest.

But yeah. If in doubt, **** Australia.

I usually support Australia in the Ashes but am also very impressed by what England has achieved in the past year in test cricket. They have a solid chance to win this time around.

Although the Aussies walloped us, they showed a lot of rust…I think England start as favorites for sure.

It always varies for me, depending on each team's personnel and how insufferable their media and parts of their fanbase are. Both teams have their share of blokes I don't particularly care for this year, but I'm pretty strongly in Australia's camp this time around.

Yeah, most of the Pommy fans on here would give a Panadol a headache. #Punishing tstl, unlike their test side.

I really hope you mean the media (social) and not here at CW?? I mean you couldn't possibly have read any of this subforum and come to that conclusion?

Yeah, apologies, should have been clearer in excluding most CWers from that (but maybe not chris.hinton :p).

But I'm over all the fawning articles that keep popping up leading into this series, along with the fans' comments that have flooded the live commentaries on Cricinfo - I'd love a way to switch those off.
