Yeah Nicho had an absolute horror time of it yesterday, almost certainly the worst game of his life.
But the fact is he was the best player in the game last year winning the Dally M by a record margin. He's also had an exceptionally good season
this year up until that game. If they're going to dump him based on one game then it's a really poor showing of faith from the selectors.
Still a class act and predicting common sense will prevail in the end. Man of the match in origin 2 if the blues win certainly wouldn't be a shock.
Nah he's not playing. Moses is halfback and Robson is on the bench.

Convinced Billy the kid wouldn't give players the flick based on one 80 minute performance.
TBF the old "pick and stick" Qlder thing is mythology. They drop players as much as NSW. Check otu the game one 2023 side cf game three 2022 as an example.

So playing well for one half against the Bulldogs is now the yardstick

Squad should have 150+ members in that case
This is a bad take imo. Hynes was ordinary off the bench in game one and Moses has actually been pretty damn good all year tbh, more so the past 6 weeks. And was Cleary's fill in last year. He'll be fine.

I wish he wasn't playing form a purely selfish pov but there's no reason why he shouldn't be there. I think it would have been a line ball call, and wouldn't have minded had they gone for Hynes but Moses is not an outrageous selection. He's got the best long kicking game in the NRL, for one thing. He's also a handy scape goat for Fittler if NSW lose, as he seems to be the sort of player who gets blamed for every loss the side he plays in suffers, no matter how rubbish everyone else is.

More concerned they continue to start in the back row with Frizell & Young over Murray and Martin. Just insane selections there.

the big bambino

International Captain
Hynes stuffed up off the bench and against the Storm. Can't go with him unfortunately as I'd have preferred him all things equal. At this stage I'd even prefer Reynolds over Hynes (and Walker over Luai) if Moses wasn't available. NSW should lose even though Mitchell is playing. If there is something to hoped for its that Fittler gets the boot as coach.

There's a bit to that tbh, wouldn't have had any beef with Reynolds either tbh. Likewise, if Moses is playing ideally you'd want Gutherson because they work incredibly together, but tha'ts not going to happen (and nor should it) with Tedesco there.

Matterson (at six) and Ofahengaue (bench) back this week. Cavalry's arriving, but not sure where the kicking game is going to come from this week for our blokes. Suppose Gutho can step up as an option.

Helps being incredibly talented but when you listen to Slater, Smith and Cronk speak about the game it’s no wonder that the Storm was so successful

Felt the same with Sterlo back in the day

Obviously Jack and Bellamy had a major impact upon their thinking but they are also highly intelligent and could potentially make great coaches

Lol just read Parra is the only NRL side not to get at least one pre-Origin bye this season. V’landys and Abdo doing their thing
