Cummins seems to forget last year's Karachi Test. Aus lost because of late declaration.
Nah, Australia set them 172 overs to survive. That should in theory be enough time to bowl a side out. Plus that wicket was way flatter.

This is closer to the Lahore Test. Which Australia won even though it was tough.

I think if India survive the innings I'm not sure an extra half an hour helps, especially if India get close to the target too.

You mean drew, right? And honestly in that case they would have had to worry about losing the game. That pitch had absolutely nothing in it and the way Babar was batting, you wouldn't have put it past them to run a total of 450 down. Australia doesn't react well to being seriously threatened in a chase.

I mean if India survive the actual culprit would be the session plus of time lost in the game because of glacial over rates. I'm definitely normally on team "over rates don't matter" but really.

444 the target.

India's problem is that there just isn't enough time to get set and wear Australia down beyond the record-breaking target. Realistically this is either an Australia win or a draw.
No their problem is the batting is rubbish and they have numerous players who are past it, plus an absolute mug wicket keeper who is the worst Indian test player I have ever had the misfortune to see in my lifetime.

Its done bar rain.

Australia dropped, what 5/6 catches in the last two sessions of that test and had a few umpires calls go against them? If australia field like that in the 4th dig after the first Indian batting innings of this game they only have themselves to blame for the lodd.

Why are Indian fans so big on Gill when he averages like 35 or whatever?
I think for the less "learned" cricket fans his white ball record and potential helps.

Cummins not looking right so far. Then again India got off to a flyer in the first innings too.
