**** shot that.

Look in a bit of strife. The good news is that the pitch clearly is doing something. The bad news is that I think India would back themselves to score 350.

I think the bottom line is that you have to play your shots. Head going for it was a big reason Australia was so far ahead on Day 1, whereas the Rahane/Thakur partnership was down to them playing aggressively. Got bogged down too much.

Admittedly I probably still have Sydney/Brisbane PTSD. Not having Pant hurts but I think if India can keep Australia under 200 they'll be optimistic they can pull off the upset.

Still can't argue that Australia are miles ahead, though. Especially with TravBall still to come.

Usually when Smith looks like this he chops on for 22 (31)
Haha yeah I remember the second innings in Dharamsala where he looked like he was going to score like an 80 ball hundred and promptly chopped on. Probably the deciding moment in the series.

I'm convinced that by this point in his career English conditions are almost Smith's best - a touch slower and lower compared to those home pitches suiting his lateness. He seems to be able to adjust to the seam better than anyone as well

It's weird how much of a difference conditions make. When Jadeja comes on to bowl in India, you are shitting bricks every ball. Here they seem to play him with such ease

They are. His technique is especially suited to them, as you say.
