The nerves with which Jadeja has been played so far is precisely why Ashwin should have played. Both are historically Australia-wrecking bowlers and that psychology shouldn't have been discounted. Ashwin would be much better equipped to cause problems with extra bounce too.

Ashwin’s face watching the #punishment made me realise how much inexplicably awful selections have died out in a lot of other sports. Cricket is keeping alive a lost art.

Also the fact that he's the number one ranked bowler currently, and been India's highest wicket taker in the World Test Championship ..I mean atleast play the guys who got you to the final .

I mean, it's just been a positive knock really. Been reasonably fluent as far as those go, nothing like peak Lara obviously but far from a Moeen Ali 50.

Yeah agreed, he's been by far the most positive and has looked the most fluent at times. But he's also edged a couple that haven't quite gone to hand and played and missed a lot. To be honest, he'd fit very well into Bazball. Make your own luck before someone else decides it for you.
