Yeah that’s the difference between this generation and the Big 3…they rarely if ever lost to complete unknowns like that…
He's only just turned 20 though, even the Big 3 weren't dominating at that age (apart from Nadal on clay). He's won a load of clay matches already, a little break before Paris is probably ideal.

Yeah, it's been a bit of an icky start really, with Kostyuk also being booed for doing what all the Ukrainian players have been doing.

After a tough first round match Cam Norrie wins his second match with ease in straight sets.
Surprised this is his equal best run at RG as he's a good clay player. Only Brit left as the Murray/Raducanu successes fade into distant memories and we're back to where we were in the mid-90s.

Oddly enough I am less worried about Jack Draper than Emma. Draper not done much on clay but he seems to have something about him on te other surfaces.

Looking at the quarters , Tsitspias in the Alcarez side and Khachanov in the Novak quarter seem the main obstacles to what would be a monster semi final.

Ladies side Iga beginning to roll but Rybakina and Saba look good and Iga likely needs to beat both to win this. Not ideal but still think this is Rybakinas worst surface and she has Jabeur floating around in her quarter.

Ryb out due to illness, obviously anything can happen any day etc, but Jabeur 3rd fav, Gauff 4th and then Muchova and Kasaktina joint 5th favs........its hard to see past Iga or Saba now.

To be fair that would be a great final, ladies tour has been really entertaining last few months as the randoms have been minimalised.

It was always going to come down to one of those three…now that Rybakina is out, one of the other two will win…my bet is on the high pitch shrieker from Belarus…

Seriously impressive from Alcaraz, what a superb all-round game this kid has!

In another news, Svitolina just can’t avoid Russian and Belarusian players, looks like. Sabalenka up next for her.

It was a bit unfortunate with Dasha, I mean she has come out against the war, but svitty said she still wouldn't shake hands because of the optics in Ukraine, they both gave each other a thumbs-up, umm I could make a joke about that with Kasatkina's ***uality, but obviously I'm classier than that.

French Open crowd are total turds ,,,booing Svitolina today. Dire individuals.

Saba v Muchova semi final should be fun, although this version of Saba does look really formidable .
