That was something crazy good from the Tigers, a switch has been flicked for sure. J.B is gonna be a gun at fullback. Already looking forward to see
how they fare in their next match against the Raiders in 2 weeks after their well earn't bye.

Honestly, upgrade the sheds and the oldest stand at Leichhardt, leave the rest of the ground as is and do a 50/50 split between it and Campbelltown. Bin Homebush.

If you whack some local food trucks and let a different couple of local breweries park some tents up top of the hill every balmain home game, you’re running a mini beer, footy and food festival every four weeks or so and the inner westies will lap that **** up in sufficient number to sell it out every time and to keep the heathen swine away.

for those who haven’t done it before, give the annual B, F & F festival at Henson Park a nudge. Just a ****ing great day out. Draws about 12-15,000 every year

same deal with the doggies and belmore tbh, upgrade it and bin anz. you talk to literally any footy fan they'll tell you 12k in suburbia is absolutely better than a day at olympic park with around 17k

have had a pretty similar weekend to that which @Kraken described but also my team's off the bottom of the ladder so i'm pretty dang stoked rn

I am of the opposite view re Leichhardt

Balmain has very different demographics to when Barnes, Artie and Pearce were playing

What’s more, the Balmain side of the JV is essentially broke and contributes virtually nothing to it

Their future is at Campbelltown which has the second largest junior competition in the country behind Penrith and is a massive growth area

Balmain Leagues is finally getting up and running again which offers a financial future. The ****ing around that’s gone on over that site has been abysmal over the years.

Site is owned by a developer and a Wests Ashfield Leagues club will be part of the project

WA is the Wests part of the JV

Balmain is basically no more thanks to back door Benny and others

whilst all of that is true, you only have to see the games at Leichhardt to know the majority of the clubs proper supporters are in that area and the surrounding suburbs

Also @Shady Slim I know you’re a strong bulldogs man, but surely even you can’t rationalise TPJ in origin. Happy to be proven wrong, but I think our middle defence will be weak and ripe for the picking. With Jurbo out, they should’ve picked a like for like imo. De Belin is the closest to that

time will tell

yeah no i agree totally. unless they are explicitly planning to use him as a momentum shifting wrecking ball for twenty minutes or something i reckon they should have gone like for like too

Renowned role model Jack De Belin getting the captain's armband at Kraken's Dragons this weekend.
Oh it’s definitely a bit how ya goin that he’s the captain for his past discretions, however if we look at from a pure footballing standpoint…he deserves it

On the subject of being around for an age, Bellamy has decided to kick on next year after what was originally almost certainly his last year.
