Here's a potential one-day lineup, mainly based on skill rather than results:

1 Liam Levy / (Orangutans)
2 Tony Chung + (FHK)
3 Raun Shkorer / (ZCC)
4 Jonathan Young / (Pirates)
5 Anthony Davidson / (Orangutans)
6 Nick Smith / (AXI)
7 Andy Li o / (FHK)
8 Ghous Ghani o / (ZCC)
9 Sampath Ramalingam (ZCC)
10 Ted Hui* o (FHK)
11 Haidar Khattak o (Ashgrove)

Almost got Lester Shum in there. Lots and lots of quality down into the 5th XI I reckon.
Nice work from Krypto to raise this chat thread. And as ever it all depends on the criteria you use for determining an XI (clearly everyone favours the criteria that suits their players the best !:)) So you won't be surprised with me mentioning that with Jura sitting pretty in 2nd you would wonder how Sampson and Marwick at the least do not make the cut !

Halfway through the group stage. The Top 3 have pulled away slightly, competition is fierce to determine who get's an automatic pass into the Semi Finals. Numbers 4-7 are reasonably close to each other, all still in contention for a KO stage spot.
AAs losing to PPs has annoyed me a lot. Pretty sure there’s at least one other dumb loss in there too.

Zac Chambers with another unbeaten match-winning 50. Raises his season T20 friendly average to 78.

What a win for AXW! Mortimer finally pays off opening, with more defensive orders, and O'Callaghan did what he does – what a gun. But we all know the true winner. Of course, it was BQ which won the game for us.

Congrats @ataraxia - trying to scour the best DEV teams to see if anyone is listed for offer without being transfer listed and I've noticed your side is as high as 4th in the DEV rankings with your affiliate 25th
Haha, our success hardly seems to correlate with the strength of the full-strength U22 side. We were stuck in the doldrums with Frost, Chambers, Simmonds, Oakes still playing.

Anyway, I think that ranking can be explained by our recent competitive Dev performance: 34 matches; 33 wins.

It was more my batsmen not treating the finger spinners with the disdain they deserve until Coetzee came in…

Sold out crowd at 5DNOL stadium for the FHK vs ZCC SOD friendly today! 15k people in attendance for a game that does not feature Raun Shkorer or Lai O Yin. Exciting stuff. FHK bring in 17 year old wristspinner Lorie Lai into the side, while ZCC bring in 19 year old Chamath Jayetileke, and also rest Heshan de Mehlo for 18 year old Hasan Priyadarshi. ZCC also go in with the extra spinner, Naeem Ashraf getting picked over Taufeeq Bashir and Ewen Rockall.

It is shaping up to be a good game - ZCC couldn't build on a strong platform and finished with just 254 in their 50 overs (Danial Ahsan hitting the wall after scoring 88), but Ghani has struck twice in his first over to remove TTC and Ying-kit! Scored a breezy 48 too, good game so far for the BD allrounder.

A humdinger of a game for the 15,000 fans in attendance!

FHK go from 6/2 to 151/2 on the back of Tony Chung's 86, but his dismissal sees the hosts wobble to 169/7! Agnes Chow continued to battle it out, and Joshua Wong stuck around long enough with her to drag the score up 192/8. Lester Shum then batted out of his skin, hitting 28 off 29 balls, helping bring the equation down to 16 needed off the last 3 overs. Naeem Ashraf, having another expensive day, redeemed himself by dismissing Shum (Ghani taking a well judged catch), and Sampath removed Hui a few balls later to give ZCC a 10 run victory! Agnes stranded on 93*, carrying her bat throughout the chase unsuccessfully.

I take it this wasn't directed at me as Sampson did make the t20 team I mentioned however Warwick didn't purely due to the incredible bowlers and especially death bowlers available with more experience etc

Kinda lols..
Bias from my side, very rarely will I pick front footed or back footed player for a international side or a side you cannot determine the conditions. If he is an all rounder, keeper etc then it might have been different edit also weary of influential trait same as superstar any Trai with a team penalty normally makes me look less intensely at a player

Kyrpto its a nice thread and as said everyone has made good and valid cases so no issues at all - I was just banging the drum for my CWC comp guys but all cases have been well said and you certainly put a lot of Sherlock Holmes into your conclusions!:detective

Oh, I’m not saying he should have made the team you picked. He’s only 36 skill but that record is just obscene.
