How privileged are GT having two indian internationals keeper in their team, and the first choice keeper for the national team can’t even make his franchise team’s playing eleven

might be something to do with Saha being Indian? although that doesn't make much sense to buy an international backup wicketkeeper ... or maybe Saha is just not rated highly enough for India

Saha is literally the best keeper* in India right now. Safe as a maximum security prison

*- can’t say MS because he’s not in consideration to represent the national team any time soon.

Root finally gets a game but doesn't get a bat.

Good thing Yorkshire don't need him.

Oh wait...

Spot on. He has always been treated shabbily by India. Dhoni’s super-hero status had always been responsible for high class wicket keeping being overlooked. Dhoni was at best an average wicket keeper but it was not something that even the greats of Indian cricket were able to say openly.

It is really sad.

Dhoni was a phenomenal keeper to the spinners wasn't he?

Parthiv was reasoanble (barely international standard imo) but oh boy the rest were shockers. Not sure what SJS is on about here, Saha is as good a backup keeper as you'd hope to have but Dhoni was levels above as a bat and captain while still being a very good keeper.
