*Official * Pakistan vs New Zealand 2023

Nz c team draws a t20 series against a full strength pakistan side in their own yard

Not bad

I'll remember this series mostly for.....mark chapman has arrived :)

Love these 5 match t20 series, fun, action packed, matches don't drag on for 4 or 5 days, and underdogs always have a chance. And perhaps some special players for the future making their careers.

Are New Zealand fans emotional a bit
It is actually our most important day of the year (Anzac Day).

I am emotional thinking about soldiers who have been in wars/peace keeping etc over the years. I'm pleased we won a cricket match* this morning, but I'm not emotional about it.

* I must admit I got emotional (joy & amazement) after our back to back close test wins vs England and SL this summer/early autumn.

I always suspected Chaprman had the goods (yeah, yeah). I have always found it frustrating he never got a proper run. This is outstanding from him.
He’s pretty much been a fixture post the WC, but I think he finally got to bat in his ideal position at no.5. Previously they batted him either at 3 (against India) or at 6/7, which isn’t the best use of him you feel.

Ok, that's interesting, I probably wasn't aware he'd had that much of an a go. But, I kind of feel he's a poor man's Eoin Morgan. Can play 360 though maybe not to the same effect. I also think his strongest suit is the 50 over game.

How does NZ's lineup look like with everyone fit now? Kane's gone so something like

1.Conway
2.Allen/Bowes/????
3.Phillips/Mitchell
4.Mitchell/Phillips
5.Chapman
6.Neeshaw
7.Bracewell
8.Santner

3 Pacers fight it out for the 9-11 roles? Edit: Harsh to drop sodhi but I don't know if you can afford to have santner/bracewell + sodhi as your 7 and 8 with this shorter batting lineup and no kane. If your in conditions where 3 spinners is an option then just play 2 pacers.

Not 100% Sold on the look of it though if im being honest though, not sure if you can have a lineup with a tail starting at 6 if kane isn't in the team.
