Bad season from KKR so far but reckon there's a few positive signs aswell. Rinkus been fantastic, that young leggie they've got is solid, venky is back to his best, Varun is good, Rana seems to have finally figured out IPL cricket and Roy made runs today

They need to bin off the windies duo of dre Russ and narine, narine isn't good enough to play as a hitter anymore and dre Russ's inconsistency has gotten worse with age. He's not good enough to make it as a specialist bat and his knees aren't good enough to play as an all-rounder.

If they get venky back to bowling they've got a decent core to build around

They can afford to play a specialist #7 bat with the impact sub stuff and venky + Rana being able to give you a few overs, big issues are a keeper and some fast bowlers. Big advantage for KKR is that the above XI only has one overseas player, so they can afford to invest in some overseas talent. If Inglis puts himself down in the next auction he's a good overseas keeper who can either open or bat a bit lower at 5 if Rinku wants to bat 6. Unsure who the best overseas pacers to target are.

Is Dube someone who can be a middle order big hitter that India t20 side needs?

I don't really rate das as a white ball bat honestly. His stats in international's vs the better teams is pretty bad. He's definitely improved as a t20 bat recently but him getting picked is more a mix of that one knock vs india at the t20 wc and his backround/ethnicity mixing well with KKR then him actually being worth the money. Plus his keeping was pretty shocking in the one game he played. If shakib is available i'de even consider bringing him in for dre russ/narine if he's available, his t20 batting recently has been really good from memory and he should be able to give more overs then russell.

10 sides instead of 8 will inevitably lead to a diluting of talent and more demand for the high quality players.

KKR don't have a great squad but not having Shreyas Iyer is a huge miss. Nitish Rana and Venkatesh Iyer are strong players for this format. Get a genuine gun top order international batter (not sure it's JRoy), then you've got a decent start. They need better options with the gloves (maybe batting at five), and to move Narine/Russell on, and really review the 7-8 spots in the line up. Not sold on Lord Thakur in this format, but Chakravarthy is a decent leggie, and if you can pair a good overseas quick with an Indian quick, then you've got a strong attack. The quality of the international players is key, but I wouldn't say it's been a vintage crop this season. Many players I can't believe have IPL deals tbh.

Forgot Shreyas was with them honestly, gives them a lot more flexibility if he's fit next season. Why an indian allrounder at 8 with the impact sub rule though? You can just sub in a bowler or bat in that 8th slot and not have to worry about a no-rounder like shardul at #8.

He's Yuvi Lite at his best but lacks consistency.
