I remember the Chappell-Hadlee was a yearly thing for a while to try and keep that trans-tasman rivalry bringing in the money, but a yearly one off ANZAC Day ODI would be ****ing great. Alternate countries each year, play at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne since it's covered and then somewhere in the NI that hasn't turned into rugby mud. Most people have the day off and would relish a full day on the turps.

Can someone explain why there is a five T20 and ODI series that not only is at the back end of our summer when interest is lower, and was always going to result in a significant amount of our IPL players out? To incorporate a missed series in the past? Please, someone fill me in on the reason before I go to town on the fact it might be the most bone headed piece of administration the game has ever seen

I don't mind neeshaw being a 20(10) merchant with the bat, let's kane and Conway get away with not taking as many risks early. Issue is that neesh is batting 1 spot too high if he's gonna bat like this. Should be at #7.

Neesham is only a 20 off 10 merchant when opposition teams fail to do their homework and realise if you bowl wide channel swinging or angling away from him, he can't score. The leg side wipe is all he has, as evidenced by the super over v Sri Lanka when they summed him up perfectly.

This is part of our lengthy and exhaustive reparations to the eternal victims at the PCB who went off their nut because NZC did as the NZ government and Five Eyes told them to do.

And tbf a postponed series like this is fine. I'm still pissed about the extortion money so sending a joke team is fine with me.

The five ODIs are fine though, especially in the lead-up to the WC - even if there are unavailabilities.
