Chris Drum retired early for career/personal reasons but I do not believe it was to join the police force. Not sure where people are getting that from.

I used to wonder why Adams only ever got that one test, despite going on an absolute tear in FC stuff.
In the Fleming/Aberhart era he was injured a lot and there were a fair few SC tours which he wasn't factored in for. Post that (when he was particularly good in FC), Bracewell wasn't a fan. That apart, stereotyped as a whiteball bowler.

Interesting, given the ODI games he played were under Bracewell. But yeah, he could be a hothead - suspended for grabbing Bevan Griggs' grill when he dismissed him, pushed another guy in club cricket, super aggressive. But a hell of a bowler, and a very intelligent one too which is why he's gone on to work with NSW and guys like Cummins/Starc/Hazelwood etc rate him so highly.

And based solely on the fact that his career finished in 1978, I am going to guess the other bowler is Richard Collinge. I am pretty sure his last first-class match was the famous test victory over England in 1977/78.

Correct ^^ for Both Collinge and Cameron.

(although Cameron went on 1978 England tour, I think? re: " I am pretty sure his last first-class match was the famous test victory over England in 1977/78." )

Did you mean Collinge? Maybe. It was before my time, but I seem to recall Collinge’s performance in the 1977/78 test described somewhere as the final act of his career. Probably in Christopher Martin-Jenkins Who’s Who of Test Cricket because I pretty much had the NZ section of that memorised when I was a kid.

Brian Yuile?

Needs to be a post WW2 player to get 200+ wickets, other spinners Burtt or Moir or Hedley Howarth or John Bracewell look to have 20-22 PS averages, not Snedden or Andre Adams or de Groen who were the low average seamers I thought of.

No, wasn't Yuile. But he would make this list, hadn't known he had such a good record.
