No, it completely takes out the work put in to take an early pick in the first round.
I will then rather be the last pick of first round so that I can take first pick in second round. Can I do that?

Of course you can do that. I basically did that myself. You still get the very best player going first so there is still an upside. Just stops it being down to who can get online at the right time.

After that dealing with the change from Viv Richards to Ricky Ponting - as drafters who picked after trundler's Viv Richards pick and before their change to Ricky Ponting - @honestbharani @HookShot do you wish to take Viv Richards - @honestbharani has first dibs out of both of you to have him.
After that myself, @Pothas and @kingkallis will be offered a chance at Muttiah Muralitharan - but I will delay that until the Viv Richards situation is clarified in case either of HB or HookShot change from their initial picks and we want their initial picks instead.
In any cases of a Mexican standoff over the last pick/s in R1 I will use a randomiser for those picks.
An early pick is a big advantage as not only do you a get your ideal R1 pick but you are probably well placed for an early R2 pick as well. But if you wish to delay your pick then you can.

Time and effort taken to think about the draft, get online, wait for the deadline to get earlier picks is 'work' imo ?
I would have actually waited to take last pick like you if I had realized it before ?

You want a late pick - the benefit of a late pick in R1 is an early pick in R2. The disadvantage of a late pick is that the best options are likely to have been taken up already.
You took Muttiah Muralitharan on the premise of being the 6th drafter to pick. Therefore making him unavailable to people who picked after you. You now want a late pick - you can do that - I am just giving people the opportunity to pick a player who was only unavailable because you made an earlier pick.
