Yashasvi Jaiswal

halba

International Debutant
is this guy the next Ganguly for india? Only 21 yo prodigy. Left hand bat. Average 80 in FC. And just smoked 60 off 31 balls in IPL as an opener

Surely we are taking Jaiswal to the world cup and look to slot him in somewhere.

when rohit retires, he should become opener for india along with ruturaj in limited overs at least. gill to 3 or 4 depending on when we kick kohli out

or when kohli calls time. he's 35 in Nov.

Typical average age of retirement is 37-38 ish, he's not playing the next ODI world cup.

TestMatch

U19 Cricketer
I thought this kid deserves a thread of his own.

He's currently on a 57 average, and has a slew of massive innings (171, 209, 214, 161), most against good opposition. For a 23-year-old opener to be doing this, seems remarkable.

There was talk of if anyone would break Laras 400 record. I think it's under threat with Jaiswal around.

Not sure if England would have loved to draw for the sake of it
Yeah, tough to do it from number 5 as the match situation most likely won't allow for it.

An opener or number 3 who can bat at a strike rate of 90 plus has the best chance.
