Interesting that Aus A has a few players that are barely even regulars in their state sides, if that. A couple of genuine A players like Renshaw and Hardie but the rest are borderline state players.

I don't mind it though. Giving rookies like Kelleway, Wylie, Johnson & McSweeney experience is a great idea. It's a bit different to how we used to handle Aus A team selection back in the 00s though.

Probably thought picking a full strength A side would be too one-sided for the little kiwis
Yeah our bunch are mostly the nz equivalent of Matthew Wade. The true CW A team is either filling in the odi side in ipl player absence or injured.

A few of these guys make it, like McConchie, Bruce, Dougeh and Fletcher.

In saying that what Stead thinks is very often different to what anyone else would pick so there's no real excuses in reality.

Given the selector's evident skepticism about the Taranaki Chanderpaul's record I'm not sure if Bruce would get a spot ahead of Chapman under normal circumstances.

NZ A rolling out the best possible hospitality for the Australian visitors with a classic 4th innings troll chase on a road after a first innings deficit. Real cultural experience.
Is that what's happening? Hah love a good Plunket Shield ambush.

Really good innings from Foxcroft. Dumb shot to finish it off though. Just needed three runs. Play sensible cricket.

Good to see the better looking, more rugged and masculine Agar among the wickets this game.
