Can't wait to see what stoinis does here. 5(11) facing the spinners before chopping one or dragging it to the fielder slog sweeping IMO.

Why tf does a lad the size of stoinis try dainty sweeps/laps like that early. Just smash it straight FFS.

Much better from krunal. Got it about aswell as the other three did, maybe a bit worse, but played the shot appropriate for the length.

Strength of this CSK team is definitely the batting depth and the 3 spin bowling all-rounders. Theeshanka/santner can bowl in the PP, moeen can bowl to lefties, jadeja in the middle to righties. They just need a decent pacer.

That last ball is where you need to bowl to pooran. He struggles when the short ball is head height at the badge.

If I had a Nickle for every time I've watched jadeja get switch hit 95+ meters, ide have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot of nickels, but it's still odd.

The RR is 3 a ball why are you trying to bowl high risk hard to execute balls like the wide yorker.

How beautiful is the Chepauk too with the beach, the Metro, the MRTS and everything around it? Lovely ground :)

Proper boundary sizes too. And 45K capacity with really decent hospitality.
Indian grounds generally look better during the IPL because of how advertising works. The IPL doesn’t open advertising up in the same way the state associations do. Good example would be the hideous Delhi ground during a Test:

and during the IPL

both still ugly mind but you can see the difference

GT's game today vs Delhi

Batting wicket & Small Ground

≠51 deliveries bowled by Axar Patel to Shubman Gill in IPL, the spinner has never managed to dismiss the batter - and conceded 72 runs

≠Khaleel Ahmed has dismissed Hardik Pandya twice in 8 balls in IPL, and conceded only 8 runs

Whatever it takes!!!

Yeah but Chepauk is beautiful even for tests. You will see in the WC, I guess. Being near the beach is an advantage and the way the new stands are all structured also makes it look really good.

Wankhede is beautiful too from am ambience perspective, being right there on Marine Drive. Sometimes we just take them for granted.
