To be fair to Slats, he'd faced one whole delivery before that one so he was well set to play that shot.I still remember this grade-A filth from David Johnson. One of the widest deliveries to ever get a wicket. Sick catch from Azharuddin though.
I dunno that David Johnson ball almost missed the cut stripSurely that Swann full toss to Rogers is the winner here by a mile, not least because it was missing leg by like six inches but wasn't reviewed out of sheer embarrassment
At least that one was a correct dismissal!I dunno that David Johnson ball almost missed the cut strip
Was the one I had in mind. Pretty sure it was a waist height no ball too?Surely that Swann full toss to Rogers is the winner here by a mile, not least because it was missing leg by like six inches but wasn't reviewed out of sheer embarrassment
Yeah exactly the one I thought of. It was part of the worst team innings I've ever seen as well. Multiple other dismissals were bad balls spooned to fielders and there were run outs too.Surely that Swann full toss to Rogers is the winner here by a mile, not least because it was missing leg by like six inches but wasn't reviewed out of sheer embarrassment
I was at this game and Kumble had the slowest walk off the ground I've ever seen, kept turning round looking depressed ... wouldn't have surprised me if he was actually crying.Filth or actual genius?
How was this a bad delivery? I would argue that the worst deliveries are those that batsmen should have no difficulty with and would be embarrassed at getting out to. This ball was almost impossible to play and might have got many of the best batsmen in the world out.Carl Hooper's daisy cutter lbw against Hussain.
That clip is awesome. Looks like a European Cricket vid (except the keeper would have dropped him and they'd run approximately 3.5 runs for a single in actuality), but this is professional cricket!Inspired by this viral video:

I guess a fair point, distinguishing between genuinely terrible deliveries that no batters should be getting out to and ones which take wickets due to some horrendous flukery. How was this a bad delivery? I would argue that the worst deliveries are those that batsmen should have no difficulty with and would be embarrassed at getting our to. This ball was almost impossible to play and might have got many of the best batsmen in the world out.
