Great effort from McLachlan to get 100 out of Wellington’s measly 145.
That's quite an impressive stat. Wonder if there's been a higher percentage of runs scored in an innings by a single batsman in recent years.

That's a higher percentage than the record in test cricket at the very least, though looks like there are some crazy records in first class from days gone by.

Didn't someone literally just post the FC record for this stat on this thread? Probably on the previous page.

here you go

(This is a slightly different record tbf, century in smallest total as opposed to percent of team's runs, which if I remember correctly is some silly effort by Glenn Turner for Worcs)
Yes highest in a complete innings is that one

Happy to see Jacob Cumming get his first 50. This is the first time in his short career he has looked quite comfortable in both of his turns at bat.
Agree and about time, he kept getting starts without kicking on. Sounds like a more talented prospect than his old man from what I've heard from those close to the action.

Looking up in google if Hart is actually fit, e.g. paying club cricket, I have noticed that both he, and the best and fastest bowler in the U17 tournament (Clarke) both play for Wakatipu High School.

Man, imagine, being a crappy or medicocre opening bat from Dunstan College or Mt Aspiring College who in reality may just be making up the numbers in their team, having to face that ....

I have also noticed, that it is a huge advantage to be in the same age bracket as a certain administrator's son. Even more than has been commented on before (by the NZ U19s actually playing some games in years between world cups).

But there is basically a defacto NZ U21 team (NZ Dev Squad) operating for the last 2 years now, as that previous U19 cohort move up the ages, playing the provincial A teams.
