What do Indian fans think of Siraj’s development of late? Haven’t seen much of him between this series and the last one out here but I had him pegged as a potential great. Decks weren’t great for quicks in the test series, but has he been reading a bit of his own press? He seems to have a lot of swag but not bowling as well as he was say 18 months ago to me

I honestly love him to bits, he's a great competitor and he's almost certainly a captain's dream in that he's willing to do anything the captain requires whenever needed.

But I honestly think he might just not be talented enough to really be more than what he's shown.

His seam position for the inswinger is the best it's looked in years. He seemed to lose it when he altered his action around '18 or so.

Yeah the Starc inswinger was frankly a myth for a while there, but it's come back with a vengeance in the last six months.

He's been a bit up and down, yeah. Won us a test in England with a brilliant spell, but he's had a few dry games too. Personally hoping he'll benefit from the extra responsibility in some of the upcoming overseas tours now that Bumrah is out.

I don't want to write Warner off because honestly he was excellent in ODIs last year, but yeah if this WC is going to be defined by 350 vs 350 scores then you want this sort of power at the top of the order.
