I am legitimately expecting a Kohli ton.

Not Gambhiring either because I'd be stoked for him tbh. The stage really seems to be set for it.
It is legit do or die for Kohli in this test or the WTC final. If he fails in both and people don't seriously question his place in the side, I don't know what to say.

Uzi must have an eye like a dead fish to be able to play virtually everything from any bowler off the back foot irrespective of length
Or the pitch is glacially slow. It helps that there's no chance of being caught in a moment of indecision about whether to play forward or back as Marnus and Smith have been a few times this series

Green benefiting similarly by defending every single ball off the front foot

What a rich vein for Khawaja. Stage of his career he's just totally comfortable in his game.

It’s his standard technique these days

australia should declare once green gets his 100 so we can get a result for the 4th straight test within 3 days...

Pretty much the perfect session for Australia.

Should now comfortably get between 450 to 500 and declare with some time end of the day with the ball.

If these two keep going they should look to get as close as possible to 600 even if it goes into day 3. They don't look like getting out.

Force India to make at least 400. Give them minimal time to bat on the wicket while it's still good.

No way. 500 or close is enough. They need as many overs against the India batting as possible. The last thing they would want is to run out of time on the 5th day.

Feel like Australia have played marginally better than India for most of this series.Pretty fortunate for India in the end how Australia's batsmen lost their heads in the second test trying to sweep everything. We're really lucky to not be in a position to lose this series imo.

India could easily get 500 if they bat on day 2 and 3. Pitch is still really good to bat on. Green is striking at 70. If Kohli or Sharma get going, Australia could pull back a bit.

I think you need as much runs as possible so you can just attack hard with the spinners and try and force mistakes.

Australia have fought harder than India who had the home advantages and their Ashwin/Jadeja combo to balance them.

At the current rate, they can easily score 500 and declare with 15 over before the end by end of today.

500 or close on a slow scoring pitch is a near guarantee at not losing this game. Any more is just wasting time IMO.
