The Wheel is Forever
It's not an attitude. It's just the reality. You can take a proactive approach but the spinners are simply too good to smack for too long.

Even going past that, if you take for a given that Australia do not have the skills, “Too Good not to smack for long” is still far better than the insanity we just witnessed. They just got told by some nerd like me who looked up some stats on a computer that hey sweeping works so they just blindly followed the advice. It’s crazy.

Whatever it takes!!!
DK is a crap commentator. His rapid fire barrage of questions with endless if buts, can piss of any guy.
I mean both can be true. A lot of times, good decent analysts make terrible play by play commentators. I actually think DK is not that good and was definitely riling up Junior but Mark Waugh acted like a child out there.

I just laugh at people who think they can beat India. Their batting is absolute shite except Smith whose atg. But he’s also not in great nick and Jadeja seemingly has his number. Marnus is a hack no matter what you say. Australia is only in the contest because weak Indian top order. Replace Rahul, Kohli and Pujara with competent bats, Australia will lose every test by an innings. Even Roots England last series were better than this Australia. They’re just somewhat competent because of India’s incompetent top order. It will still be a brown wash but otherwise it would be a comprehensive one.

It good to win these series but every Indian cricket fan wants to win a major team it been over 10 years now.

A brown wash sounds weirdly feculent.

I like how both tests have been on pitches that have been challenging and yet not really impossible wickets. I think I posted here about the first session jitters against spinners at Delhi coz otherwise its just the same old low, slow turning Kotla.

We definitely need Gill in for Rahul. Indore will be a sharper turner but with very consistent turn and bounce if the wicket is the usual one and they have not dug it up and changed soil types etc. IIRC we won against NZ there last time? Australia should just figure out who their best bowlers are. If everyone is available, I will go...

Khawaja
Head
Labu
Smith
Handscomb
Green
Carey
Starc
Cummins
Lyon
Murphy/Swepson

I know Murphy has been very good and they should most likely play him but as far as variety goes, it would be good to have a Swepson in there if he is fit. Otherwise, the two offies backed up by a 3rd offie.

India played pretty poorly this game overall. The first day's bowling efforts were very ordinary and the second day's batting in the first session was much the same.

Bruh and not to say Rohit is on next level compared to any of these batters in the series. Legit god mode.

The bowling wasn't and isn't the issue. The batting has been. And I clearly remember that during Australia's home series people were talking up Australia's batting and I was like no. Their batting looks good on paper but outside Australia (except for Smith) it's questionable. And even now that Smith is being dominated, we see how truly woeful they can be.
Because Australia play on Highways at home yet their bowlers keep taking 20 wickets easily!

India are simply fantastic at home and in Jadeja and Ashwin, with pitches prepared to help them, they keep running through the opposition for fun.

As much as it pains me, I think the Aussies are the best test team in the world but let's be honest, it's men against boys in this series.

No team has the batting to to cope with Jadeja and Ashwin. Yes the Aussies could have done better, and maybe their selections haven't helped but let's not kid ourselves, it wouldn't matter who they picked - India at home are too good - and this isn't a great Indian batting line up.

In these conditions Jadeja and Ashwin are 2 ATG spinners and I'm not sure even a world 11 would beat them.
No, India are the best. India are invincible at home and consistent away. Aus are consistent away and dominant at home, unfortunately they've lost 3 successive series to India (including two at home).

Atm, if India and England played home and away, India will blank England at home but India could very easily take a game or two off England in England. Assuming the series are 5 tests long.
If you’re being serious there’s more probability of India beating England in England than England Beating them in England.

foakes can defend spin

root can play spin well

harry brook can probably smash it better than KP

Stokes is Stokes and can switch on against anyone if it is a tense test

i think if eng catch india napping at home they can win a test or two in india

but eng will probably whitewash at home atm

Yeah best test team heirarchy is clearly India>Australia/England>The rest. The fact that england went from winning 1 test in 15/20 to where they are now in a year is obscene.
I've mentioned it before but the '1 test in 15' is kinda cherry picked. It starts right after 6 consecutive away test wins, one of which was in Chennai, either side of home series wins over WI and Pakistan. For the 2019-21 WTC their record was 4 series wins, 1 draw (Ashes) and 1 loss (India away).

Don't get me wrong, after the loss in WI in 2022 they were at a real low. But they had been overall pretty okay over the previous few years before the revolution.
