The Wheel is Forever
Welp.

Arrrgh @ commentators and people on here talking burnt reviews and No mention of a three reds lbws not given. If a team uses their reviews it doesn’t excuse an umpire ****ing **** up.

see also Stokes @ Headingly 2019
Sure its a bad decision but he was pretty far down so it's an understandable not out.

This one didn't look out at first glance tbf. Most umpires dont give those when the batsman is two strides down the wicket. They probably should but they dont.
Yeah, fair to not give those with the batsman so far down and especially while trying to play a shot. Introduces far too much guesswork into the decision.

Genuinely huge moment in the series here. Rohit has looked streets above every other batsman so far

They give more of them than they used to pre DRS tbf. Like I’ve got no problem saying they shouldn’t have reviewed earlier but that shouldn’t let junk umpiring off the hook. The two aren’t mutually exclusive things

I guess what I’m saying is “oh well bowled, you did him all ends up and he was out but you used your reviews so we won’t talk about it being a **** call” is an odd way to look at cricket.

and that’s a massive pole for lyon. Good to see he’s taken The Burgey Team advice and not bowling so straight

I think that one's fair enough to not give live though because it's basically half-volleyed him well down the track. There's got to be a ton of doubt in the umpire's mind as to both line and bounce and in those circumstances, fair enough to not give it. He gave it a long think after all

And Lyon bowling leg stump vs Lyon bowling off stump or outside are so different in effectiveness it's like watching two completely different bowlers

They've gotta attack Lyon a bit here. He's very dangerous with a bit of confidence but doesn't deal well with pressure.
