I would especially argue for this team if the pitch is looking like turning from ball one.
This is the team I advocated earlier in the thread too. But people are aghast on dropping Lyon.

The fact is Warner is still your best bet when opening, especially when the ball is new & it's not like Usman is setting the world on fire against better bowling attacks! If Oz picks Head for say opening, or even Renshaw, India would probably open the bowling with Ashwin like they did in the last innings. Unless it's a super flat pitch, with no moisture at all on day one, you're screwed either way. An alternative could be Green opening with Head in the middle order but are they gonna risk his fingers again? And what happens if India bat first ?

Among anyone who can open he's the best IMO against pace. A flashy innings or two by Head, down under, doesn't make him a better alternative In India & neither is Renshaw.

Look at the post at the top of the page for instance, Khawaja and Head are opening so that's already better.
Marcus ****ing Harris would be a better option, and that's saying something.
i’m president of the drop warner club but tbf he absolutely wouldn’t

No surprises that Starc might not be fit & that Haze has already been ruled out

Tour has been a monumental **** up from the outset

The Wheel is Forever
So does anyone actually think that some of the current passengers in the Indian side are more likely to score runs than someone like Sarfaz Khan? Apparently the selectors do. It makes no sense. Don't have a first class system if you're not gonna pick someone who makes as many runs as he does.

Sarfaraz's beard game is too weak imo

He's a fatass. I understand being chubby but guy's got to lay off the haleem and put in some work to show that he cares. Heck, even Ashwin's lean these days. Sure he scores buckets of runs but like everyone keeps mentioning it's a huge step up from domestics. Are we so sure he won't pull a hammy in the middle of a Test reaching for the crease as Marnus swoops in?
