Jadeja is such a king of cricket. Hopefully Axar sorts himself out and runs through them in the second innings and the team can have a nice rest.

Cummins and Boland have to go. 1 wicket between them after a day and a half of cricket, not going to be competitive. Cummins is going for 4 RPO

Attack to be

Hazlewood
Starc
Lyon
Murphy assuming all above fit imho.
Was Boland picked above Hazlewood and Starc? If so, that's crazy.

India should win by an innings here if they can get to 200. Chasing anything above 150 would be very tricky, but I don’t see any realistic way that they get a lead that high barring some Dravid/Laxman miracle.

For people who actually saw the last session or so, how did AUS bowl after the Bharat and Rohit wickets? Did they just lose the plot afterwards or good cricket from Axar?

Murphy and Cummins were good. Bowled in good areas and were unlucky. Boland and Lyon didn't bowl as well in the third as they did in the second imo. Axar did play really well.

I don't know if i'm reading too much into minor details here, but does anyone else feel like this AUS team have a habit of losing the plot when opposition counter attack/a few things don't go there way. Headingley 2019, the pak game in AUS when yasir shah made that ton and we kept dropping him, basically every test from the rahane drops in the second test of the last border gavaskar trophy, the second test of the pak series in pak where swepson had those Umpire's calls turned down and we forgot how to field after, the second test vs sri lanka where we had early momentum and didn't review one of chandimal that was out then lost the plot, even the 4th test of the 2021 ashes where we let bairstow and stokes counter attack in the 2nd dig. 3 years, 2 captains and 2 coaches but it feels like this same thing keeps on happening.

Supposedly Iyer is back next match so not even sure how he retains his place even if he has a good second innings.
Yeah this. He is surely not going to play further in this test series. But if he needs to be back-up number one for future tests, he does need a good second innings.

Very good batting. However, next to no runs coming off balls of the right length. Typically they scored if dropped short or too full which was not common. It is why Murphy has been so good, he's barely erred in length at all. Doesn't seem a minefield by any stretch.

Nothing is certain with Uzzy, Smith and Marnus to dismiss and Warner always due a massive score also.
