Mavuta has been by far their best performer in the domestic first class competition. Certainly deserves a place. In tests, Burl is more of a batsman than a bowler. Hence, they could both potentially play in a first team full of spinning all-rounders in a spinning pitch. Not a bad effort from mavuta so far. 5-fer and 28* walking out at 180-7 with a follow on looming is solid as it gets. Does he make this team when burl returns though? Doubt they'de want to field two leg-spinners in the same lineup.
And only the second player in test history.Follow on avoided so that's about it
Ballance with a great chance to be the first player in 30 years to make test hundreds for multiple nations
He was talking about Burl when he said that, not Mavuta.@CricAddict more of a batsman than bowler batting at 9 seems odd.
PEWS to the fore.Mavuta's really improved his batting so the next partnership could still get them over the line.
This is overrated insanity.Root's only scored test centuries for one nation. My Ballance > Root take vindicated.
Minimum 100@CricAddict more of a batsman than bowler batting at 9 seems odd.
