Whatever it takes!!!
So the BBL with 8 teams allows the top 5 a chance to play the finals, but the IPL with 10 teams allows only the top 4 a chance to play the finals.

Cricket, huh..

I think the ideal round robin format league would allow about half the teams a chance to make the finals.

Could be worse, the 18/19 JLT One Day Cup had a ridiculous out-of-six finals structure that rendered most of the ordinary stage superfluous.

I personally don't understand the need for finals in a lot of these competitions at all. Premier League doesn't have any finals and has no trouble securing stupid amounts of money.

Power back. The ball Morris got Pierson on was 139 according to that hawkeye tracker thing they have, other than that no speedgun

This heat group really confuse me. Playing 4 frontline bowlers, 2 of whom are spinners, at ****ing perth, especially when swepson hasn't been able to take a wicket and has been getting smashed at 11+ an over feels so weird. Bazley's one of the two bowlers who's looked decent at times this season, why drop him?

What club cricket? Not any that I've played. It's only a no-ball if it's the 3rd for the over. Over head height is a wide.
Nah, as I said. The laws state it’s a no ball so any competition needs to have its own playing regulations to state that it should be a wide instead. I’ve played cricket in quite a few different places now and the number of competitions that have overlooked this is surprising.

Actually, in such cases, the no-ball call would take precedence. I believe the rule has always been when its a no-ball that is also a wide, the no-ball comes first.

What a prospect Todd Murphy looks, appears to have very good control for such a young spinner, and he kicks off with a wicket maiden!

Not sure what it’s like on TV, but **** me live it really looks like Sabba is bowling proper gas tonight. Love it
Speedgun readings are nothing special, but visibly it looks like he is bowling a little bit quicker than is being indicated

Usually for the BBL the opposite tends to be true with their speedguns
