Will Sarfaraz Khan be the greatest Khan?

Sarfraz Ahmed is a wicketkeeper batsman who, like many other talented cricketers in Pakistan's domestic circuit, could have faded into obscurity. Instead, he became the first Pakistan skipper to win a 50-over global title since the legendary Imran Khan.

Well, he's at it again! Fresh off a (presumably) sparking 134 in the Ranji Trophy final, the Great Khan has now become the second batsman in history to cross 900 runs in successive Ranji Trophy seasons.

This Cricinfo article expounds on the statistical phenomenon that is Mumbai's Sarfaraz Khan.

Is there any good reason as to why he isn't on the tour to England? (besides to get runs in Ranji cricket)

he's fat and it's ranji trophy. the selection criteria is ipl.

in all seriousness he's probably due a call up. had a decent outing in 2 innings against SA A, but then again so did kishan and vihari.

For those playing at home, the Great Khan appears to have smashed another century. This time 162 off 220 vs Tamil Nadu to take his average to 80 after 35 matches.

Of course with the Indian top order in such stellar form, it's hard to know where you'd even fit such a cricketer in!

Already two years too late. Should at least have been in the squad now.
Yeah said it in another thread, India love bloated squads why not have him in one of those just to get him familiar with the set up? Their has to be some sort of reward for putting up such monster 4 day numbers or what's the point?

His India A numbers haven't been on the same level though. Which is basically what you've said above apart from not getting a debut cap.
